ClassroomEnvironmentLet’s pool and share resources that support bullying prevention, and talk about it in this blog.

  1. First, tell us why you chose the resource.
  2. Next, provide us with a link to the resource and a brief description of it.
  3. Explain how the resource works effectively, or has the potential to work effectively, as a bullying prevention tool.

If you like these resources, check out our Shop at www.literacysolutions.net and go to the Anti-bullying folder to purchase materials that support anti-bullying and peaceful classrooms. Materials can be purchased for as little as $3.95 per folder.

I chose this resource "Facing bullying with confidence" because it has a friendly reader format with color and pictures to engage a child reading about bullying (as well as if adults read it too..the site has 5 techniques for adults to assist in preventing bullying) https://www.kidpower.org/library/article/prevent-bullying/?gclid=CL3rhaqcgcoCFcEWHwod5eICbA

I chose this website because in my experience students, especially early learning ones have a better acquisition of the language by playing or having most things as colorful and musical as possible. I have had worked with ELL's and Native English speakers and for both of them this program has been successful. https://www.starfall.com/h/ this program works with phonics, phonemic awareness skills and math skills needed by students. It is very colorful, musical, and engage the students in what they need to learn. It is a one on one program for students. They work with headphones in a computer or tablet and allows them to hear, repeat and give answers of their learning. It keeps them focus and allows them to have an active learning/self learning of all basic skills needed to be able to communicate with and understand others.
